From 29th July 2022, Gazprom Marketing & Trading Retail Limited changed it’s company name to SEFE Energy Limited with their London-based parent company now SEFE Marketing & Trading Limited. SEFE Energy is part of the SEFE Group – led by SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE) in Berlin.
SEFE Energy Limited have confirmed that your customers’ energy supply agreements with Gazprom Marketing & Trading Retail Limited won’t be affected and that they have communicated their new name to all customers through a number of channels, including email, via invoices and on their customer portal.
All future payments by your customers can be made to their existing bank account – only the bank account name has changed to SEFE Energy Limited. For customers paying by Direct Debit, they will continue to collect payments as Gazprom Energy when they are due and will contact customers again to advise when they will start collecting payments as SEFE Energy.
All customers will have been communicated to by SEFE Energy (Gazprom) to inform them of the change, however you should update all your records and systems to reflect the name change.
The SEFE Energy team is based in Manchester and SEFE Energy Limited is 100% owned directly by London-based SEFE Marketing & Trading Limited. SEFE Marketing & Trading is 100% owned directly by SEFE Securing Energy For Europe GmbH (“SEFE”) and since 4 April 2022, SEFE and its subsidiaries have been under the trusteeship of the Bundesnetzagentur, Germany’s Federal Network Agency. This means all voting rights in the shares of SEFE were removed from SEFE’s shareholder (ultimately PJSC Gazprom) and subsequently PJSC Gazprom and its subsidiaries are unable to issue instructions to SEFE and its subsidiaries.
