Energy Audit

Energy Audits are mandatory for many businesses in the UK, mostly Large Enterprises.

Ofgem defines a Micro Business as;

Employs fewer than 10 employees (or their full time equivalent) and has an annual turnover or balance sheet no greater than €2 million; or uses no more than 100,000 kWh of electricity per year; or uses no more than 293,000 kWh of gas per year.

Any company that doesn’t meet this criteria is considered a Large Enterprise and as such would be considered Corporate in the energy market.

energy audit

If you’d like an energy audit carried out on your buy nexium online business, then it’s recommended that you’re using at least 1 million kWh’s across your business. This would ensure that the cost of the audit would be worthwhile to you. The audit would be carried out by an expert and the purpose would be to show you where you can save energy without compromising your business’s production.

The government has a detailed guide on the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) here.

How It Works

They would do a short telephone consultation. Then if your business could actually benefit from the audit, an energy expert would arrange to visit your business and make a plan for you to improve your energy usage. They would also help you when it comes to agreeing a new custom contract for prices.

How Can I Help?

Arrange Audit

Although I don’t actually carry out the audits myself, I know many energy auditing companies that can advise you. I can arrange for one of them to contact you via phone or email and conduct an initial consultation with you. Each one of the auditing companies I work with, specialise in different fields and so if you could let me know what your business is and what kind of energy usage you have. Then I will go and arrange a telephone call or email conversation for you with one of my partners.
